The Conference “Innovation for Digital Inclusion” is organized within the framework of the official programme of the Polish Presidency of the European Union and will take place 5-7 October 2011 in Gdańsk, Poland.

The gathering is meant to provide an overview of the most innovative and effective e-Inclusion initiatives in the EU and, in a wider context, to facilitate a discussion on the importance of the e-Inclusion policy to the delivery of the Digital Agenda for Europe.

The main and most important topics that will be discussed during the conference are:

  • introduction of adult Europeans into the digital worldthrough facilitating digital literacy
  • national and regional e-inclusion programmes as tools for the implementation of the Digital Agenda for Europe
  • effective models of independent living and comfort of the elderly, based on innovative and economically feasible e-care and e-health solutions
