ALL DIGITAL has been leading the discussion at European level regarding a homogeneous European framework for the assessment, validation and certification of digital competences. To this end, ALL DIGITAL has recently established and is maintaining the Certification Community of Practice (CoP), an international community of organizations and individuals with a strong interest in the certification of digital skills.
Participation in the Community of Practice is open to anyone who is interested in the certification of digital competences. If you would like to join, please register using the form below.
Communication and collaboration is done through a dedicated Basecamp group.
The recent Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) published last Sep 30th 2020, proposes as Action 9: to “Develop a European Digital Skills Certificate (EDSC) that may be recognised and accepted by governments, employers and other stakeholders across Europe. This would allow Europeans to indicate their level of digital competences, corresponding to the Digital Competence Framework proficiency levels”. The execution of the Action will be guided and overseen by an EC internal inter-service Task Force led by DG EMPL.
The first task that the EC will undertake is the development of a Feasibility Study. We consider of upmost importance that the study involves stakeholders in all its crucial phases. Due to that, a series of consultations will take place.
We thank you for your collaboration, and we look forward to working with you on the definition of the EDSC!
