Civil Society Coalition on Erasmus+

09 May, 2016

The Lifelong Learning Platform and the European Youth Forum together with their members launched a civil society coalition on Erasmus+, the EU programme for education, training, youth and sports. The aim of the coalition is to voice the concerns of civil society organisations regarding the implementation of the programme and to defend their needs.

In 2016 the European Commission starts a mid-term review of the programme and the whole multi-annual financial mechanism, which will define funding priorities until 2020 and beyond.

Telecentre Europe is part of the coalition and attended its first meeting on 26 April. With other networks in the field of education we discussed how to influence mid-term review of the programme in order to preserve the place of civil society in it and to ensure sufficient funding for relevant projects. The Lifelong Learning Platform will issue an info note on the review of the multi-annual financial mechanism, including Erasmus+, which we will send to all our members.
