Best contributing members are being granted a Gold, Silver & Bronze Medal at Telecentre-Europe’s community site

07 Sep, 2012

From August 2012, at the end of each month three community members on Telecentre-Europe’s community site are now awarded with a Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal as “Top Members” and winners of the monthly Featured Member Contest

The “Top Members” ranking is ungoing and automatically calculated through the ning system’s leaderboard algorithm, taking into account a combination of quantity and quality of the content which boils down to the questions: “How much is the member contributing?” and: “How valuable are his or her contributions?”. The medal winners for August 2012 are:

  1. Gold Medal: Elzbieta Dydak (Warsaw, Poland), who published a blogpost and an event on the Regional Tech Forum 3.0 in Poland
  2. Silver Medal: Christine Prefontaine (Montreal, Quebec, Canada), who published the blogpost Coworking, Fab Labs, and Hackerspaces in Telecentres?
  3. Bronze Medal: Lukasz Nikitin (Krakow, Poland), who published the blogpost Polish national Digital Literacy Programme

As for the other Featured Members:  26 community members became featured in August: for publishing blogposts & events, for marking their attendance to an event or for sharing & commenting blogposts published by others.  The Featured Member Contest is becoming more popular every month, as July counted 21 Featured Members and 14 members were featured in June.
