Window to the Future (Lithuania) & Internet Saloon (Italy) both win a Skills for Employability Award 2011

Telecentre-Europe’s member organizations Window to the Future(Langas i ateiti) from Lithuania and Internet Saloon (Associazione Interessi Metropolitani) from Italy both win a Skills for Employability Award 2011.

Window to the Future wins the award in the category “Empowering Women through Technology”. The award celebrates the accomplishments of a project kicked off in 2010 that has so far trained more than 11 000 citizens throughout Lithuania in ICT and e-services, with more than 75% (8250) participants being women from economically challenged, mostly rural areas. Our new member from Italy, Internet Saloon wins the award for the category “Active Aging through IT learning”.

The other finalist was Norte Joven (Spain) for the category “Youth Empowerment through Skills”
