Zagreb’s Association of Disabled Workers (ZADW) is a non-profit organization founded in 1966. and since then it continuously strives for a better quality of life for its members – disabled workers and other people with disabilities.
ZADW gathers more then 7.000 disabled workers and other people with disabilities from City of Zagreb and Zagreb County, in Croatia. About 80% of ZADW’s members are elderly and with a need for education about digital competence.
On daily basis, ZADW tries to improve the quality of life for its members organizing various activities: legal counceling, help for hardly mobile or immobile members, medical rehabilitation programmes, educational activities, artistic activities, sport and recreational activities, advisory activities and exercising. Following the legislation, ZADW initiates proposals for improving the status of disabled workers and other people with disabilities in society in general.
While the ZADW’s vision is an equal acceptance of people with disabilities in all segments of social life, its mission is to promote, protect and improve the rights of people with disabilities and to strengthen social awareness of equality of all citizens.
