First year of the HACKAD – Social Hackademy project

15 Jan, 2021

Hackad – Social Hackademy project is celebrating its 1st anniversary.  It’s been a busy year, and we are proud to report that despite the challenging circumstances we achieved planned results and milestones:

  • Upscaled Social Hackathon Umbria methodology to enable its transfer and usability across Europe. Read more about the development and history of the methodology, its successes and a step-by-step guide on how to plan and organize your own social hackathon here – https://socialhackademy.eu/hackad-methodology/.
  • Developed 3 curricula for training courses on Native mobile app development, Web design and Visual and Graphic Design. Training Courses Outlines are available in the ??, ??, ??, ?? and ?? languages. Access them at https://socialhackademy.eu/hackad-training-courses/
  • Launched #hackAD online platform that will serve as a hub for learning, organizing hackathons and connecting young people, trainers in non-formal learning, civil society organisations and hackathon organisers. Check it out!
  •  Built 4 motivated national teams of trainers that will implement the training courses and support young hackers in developing solutions for identified societal challenges at #hackAD Social Hackathons that will be organized in the summer of 2021.
