It was almost 4 years ago when Gabriel Rissola started managing Telecentre Europe. With the support of a committed Board and the contribution of a devoted team, he led the organisation to multiply its members base (from 22 to 56 organisations) and to increase resources (staff capacity, budget and projects acquired, to name a few), making Telecentre Europe more stable, transparent and accountable, but also well-recognised by peer organisations and European institutions, and appreciated by its members.

As of 1st April 2016 Gabriel Rissola stepped down from his position as Managing Director to re-join the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS), an EC institution based in Sevilla (Spain), where he will be responsible for the ICT component of Smart Specialization Strategies (RIS3). While we wish Gabriel all the best in his new professional endeavour, we announce that a competition process to select a replacement will be open shortly.
