Sonia Solera-Cotanilla was born in Cuenca, Spain, in 1996. She received the BS and MS in Telecommunication Technologies and Services Engineering from Universidad Politécnica Madrid (UPM), Spain, in 2018 and 2020. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering at the UPM. During her studies, she obtained a research grant in Telecommunications and the Internet Networks and Services research group at the UPM. She is currently a researcher at UPM, working in the field of the Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Cybersecurity. Her areas of interest are Mobile Communication Networks, Smart Cities, and Network Monitoring.
