All digital weeks 2026 Launch event

How digital inclusion leads to true digital wellbeing

On 10 March 2026, All Digital officially launched the new edition of the All Digital Weeks campaign with the event “How digital inclusion leads to true digital wellbeing”, hosted at the Microsoft Innovation Hub in Brussels in a hybrid format.

Bringing together policymakers, educators, industry representatives, and civil society organisations, the event opened an important discussion on the different perspectives of digital wellbeing. As digital technologies increasingly shape how people work, learn, communicate, and participate in society, ensuring that everyone can engage with them confidently, safely, and responsibly has become a shared European priority.

The launch event set the stage for the 2026 campaign by exploring how individuals, educators, learning providers, and policymakers can work together to support healthier and more inclusive digital participation.

All Digital Weeks 2026

All Digital Weeks is a pan European awareness raising campaign promoting digital skills for inclusion, empowerment, and employment. Organised by All Digital since 2010, it has helped almost 1.5 million people across Europe either get online for the first time or improve their digital skills.

The 2026 edition runs from 9 to 25 March under the theme “Digital well being for a competitive Europe.” Through events and training across more than 20 countries, organisations work to help citizens develop the digital skills needed for work, learning, and participation in society.

Key insights from speakers and participants

The event featured a panel discussion bringing together perspectives from European institutions, industry, and civil society to explore how digital inclusion can support digital wellbeing in an increasingly digitalised society.

The panel included:

  • Francesca Maltauro, Deputy Head of Unit Digital Education at the European Commission
  • Laia Orozco Joan, Head of Digital Equity Lab at the Bofill Foundation
  • Diogo Heinen, Digital Well-Being & Inclusive Technology Expert at MAKS
  • Julie Guichard, EU Digital Safety – Government Affairs at Microsoft

During the discussion, speakers reflected on how digital inclusion and digital wellbeing are increasingly connected in people’s daily lives. They highlighted the importance of ensuring that citizens have access not only to digital tools and infrastructure, but also to the skills and confidence needed to use technology safely and responsibly.

Speakers also emphasised the role of education systems, community organisations, and digital competence centres in supporting citizens to develop digital skills and navigate an increasingly complex digital environment.

Key messages

  • Digital inclusion is a prerequisite for digital wellbeing. Without access to digital skills, support, and safe online environments, people cannot participate confidently in today’s digital society.

  • Access to digital skills and tools remains uneven across Europe, particularly for vulnerable groups such as older adults, people with fewer opportunities, and communities with limited access to training.

  • Community organisations and digital competence centres play a key role in supporting citizens through training and guidance. They are trusted learning environments where people can build both skills and confidence.

  • Collaboration between public institutions, civil society, educators, and industry is essential to address digital wellbeing challenges and support more inclusive digital participation across Europe.

Closing reflections

The launch event showed how important digital inclusion is to ensure that everyone can benefit from digital transformation.

Through All Digital Weeks 2026, organisations across Europe are coming together to raise awareness and organise activities that empower citizens with the digital skills needed for work, learning, and participation in society.

By bringing together policymakers, educators, civil society organisations, and industry, the campaign aims to strengthen collaboration and support more inclusive digital participation across Europe.

Thank you to everyone who contributed time, ideas, and expertise.

We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together for a digitally inclusive Europe.
