Ethical AI in Local Governance
Join ALDA’s Digital & Innovation Hub for an interactive online workshop on “Ethical AI in Local Governance – Opportunities and Safeguards for Communities” as part of the pan-European All Digital Weeks 2026 campaign (9–25 March), co-funded by the European Commission and centered on “Digital well-being for a competitive Europe.”
Taking place on March 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM CET (90 minutes, via Zoom – link shared upon registration), this free session (limited to 30 participants for maximum interactivity) explores how AI is transforming municipal services—from social assistance screening and predictive analytics to citizen chatbots and urban planning—while highlighting both its potential for efficiency and inclusion and serious risks to equality, transparency, accountability, and democratic legitimacy.
Registration: Register here (Free, but spots are limited – sign up today!)
Through expert framing of real-world use cases, a hands-on “Municipal Ethics Council” policy simulation, and plenary deliberation, participants (policymakers, municipal staff, CSO representatives, and governance practitioners) will gain practical tools to assess ethical risks, strengthen human oversight, and design responsible AI deployments aligned with the EU AI Act and European values of ethical, human-centric digital transformation. Register now to secure your spot and help shape AI that truly serves communities without compromising democracy!
