The two gender equality speakers who participated at Telecentre Europe Annual Conference (TEAC) 2014 in Zagreb, Dr. Adriana Gil-Juárez and Dr. Joel Feliu are from the JovenTIC inter-university research group in Catalonia, Spain, which studies the relationship between young people and new technologies from a gender perspective. They have selected and created a list of websites as an important resource of interventions in the area of gender equality. Dr. Adriana Gil-Juárez is currently working as a lecturer in Social Psychology at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in Tarragona, Catalonia. She is currently researching on the digital gender divide and the relationship between gender and technology.
Dr. Joel Feliu is a senior lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where he is the Head of the Department of Social Psychology. His doctoral thesis dealt with the use that is made of the notion of culture in psychology and the difficulties that this application generates in the understanding and treatment of diversity.
